Chris Orr began writing about music while still in secondary school (high school) in Ireland. He follows many genres of music and has written about them for magazines such as XLR8R, URB, Revolution Magazine, and Mixmag. He has authored content for various blogs and websites, and crafted liner notes and promotional copy for labels such as, Sony Japan, legendary Chicago house label, Guidance Recordings, and for the DFC and IRMA labels in Italy. He started out as a dj in 1986 and still plays regularly in San Francisco. With a vast record collection of 12,000 pieces, which spans 5 decades, he can play sets comprised of anything from ’70s funk to brand new house, garage, and techno.
